Book Review: The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket

Genre: Fiction
Ages: 8 and Up

This is actually my second time reading A Series of Unfortunate Events, and I honestly had forgotten how much I enjoy these books. Lemony Snicket simultaneously binds together adventure, mystery, and humor into one story, and as a reader I greatly appreciate it. I can't wait to reread the rest of the series, and venture back into the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans.

About:
One day siblings Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire are hit with the terrible news that their parents have been killed in a house fire. Depressed and utterly alone, the three orphans are sent to live with a foul distant relative by the name of Count Olaf. Under his care, the children suffer miserably and are forced to carry out horrendous tasks for him. What's more, the Count also has a devious plan to steal the Baudelaire's enormous fortune, and will stop at nothing to get it.
