Book Review: By the Shores of Silver Lake by Laura Ingalls Wilder

Genre: Historical Fiction
Ages: 9 and Up

This book was good. It wasn't my favorite in the Little House on the Prairie series, but it was still well-written. Not much action occurred in this book, though I wouldn't skip reading it because it does still tell an essential part in the story of the Ingalls family. This book is good for readers of all ages.

About:
The Ingalls family is about to settle for the last time in their lives. Pa has found a new job working for the railroad company, and now they find themselves settled permanently along the shores of Silver Lake. Life isn't perfect for them in their bustling new town, but there is still plenty of opportunity to be found for the little pioneer family.
