Book Review: Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan

Genre: Historical Fiction
Ages: 9 and Up

This book was absolutely amazing. It was a heartfelt story that really touched me. The author did an exceptional job at poetically sharing the emotions that the characters were feeling. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good story.

About:
Esperanza lived a perfect life in Mexico on her family's ranch. Then one day, everything fell apart and she was forced to leave the beautiful land she'd always called home. She soon finds herself working on a large farm in California, where she doesn't fit in, and nothing feels right. Her new life isn't as easy as she thought it would be, and now she must find a way to face her tough situation, and stay strong for those she loves.
