Book Review: Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder

Genre: Historical Fiction
Ages: 9 and Up

This book tells a story-within-a-story. It describes the childhood of Laura Ingalls’ husband, Almanzo Wilder. Even though this book was not about Laura, I still enjoyed it very much. The simple, country life described in the book really intrigued me. I recommend this book to anyone who loves historical fiction or who just loves reading!

About:
Almanzo Wilder lives on a large farm in upstate New York. He enjoys horses and hopes to get his very own colt one day. He helps out wherever he’s needed. Though at times life on a farm can be tough, Almanzo and his family are still able to find time for fun.
